As leaders and guardians in sports, we understand that the key challenge of the Challenger League is to create a meaningful environment that fosters learning and growth for players, coaches, referees, and parents. We believe that implementing clear game day standards will provide clarity, minimize frustration, and enhance the soccer culture, ultimately prioritizing player development in competitive settings.

While the 5v5 small-sided game (SSG) approach, along with constraints that may initially seem confusing to both adults and children because it differs from the full-scale games seen on TV or in stadiums, it makes a lot of sense when player development is prioritized.

To prioritize learning in the games, this document has been created to ensure that all adult participants (coaches, supporters, and referees) are aligned. By following the same rules and guidelines, adults can uphold high standards and keep player development and enjoyment as everyone's top priority.

If there is anything not addressed in this document, please assume that all other FIFA Laws of the Game will be followed by the referee.

Please take the time to read, watch, review, and familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines of the 5v5 Challenger League in one of the formats below
